A duet session brings two clients together under the guidance of one STOTT PILATES® certified instructor. While you train alongside a partner — a spouse, a friend, a sibling, a colleague — both of you receive individualized attention, individual programming modifications, and individual cueing based on your own body's needs.
This is not a diluted private session. It is an intentionally designed format that balances personal instruction with the motivational dynamic of shared effort. Devi is trained to read both bodies simultaneously, adjusting each client's resistance, range of motion, and exercise selection in real time throughout the session.
Duet sessions are an excellent entry point for clients who want more personalized instruction than a group class provides — at a more accessible investment than fully private programming.
Unlike group classes where the instructor manages the whole room, your instructor in a duet session is focused exclusively on two people. Your form, alignment, and progress are never lost in the crowd.
Clients who train with a partner show higher session consistency, better adherence to programming, and report greater enjoyment of the process. The right training partner elevates your performance.

If one partner has a knee injury and the other is training for a marathon, both programs are modified accordingly within the same session. D2M never forces both clients into identical exercises.
Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector, Arc Barrel — duet sessions have access to the complete D2M apparatus suite, assigned based on what each client needs that day.

Do both clients need to be at the same fitness level?
No. Because D2M individualizes modifications for each participant, two clients at different fitness levels, with different injury histories, or pursuing different goals can train together in the same session effectively.
Can one partner have an injury or recent surgery?
Yes. Devi's Post-Rehabilitation Specialization means she can program safely and effectively for one client recovering from injury while simultaneously programming an appropriate challenge for a healthy partner.
Can I switch from a duet to private sessions later?
Absolutely. Many clients begin with duet sessions and transition to private sessions as their goals evolve, or alternate between the two formats depending on schedule and objectives.
What if my partner needs to cancel a session?
We recommend booking duet sessions as a shared commitment. If your partner cannot attend, the session can often be carried as a solo session — contact us to discuss options based on your booking arrangement.
